We just had a dear friend send us a letter that started off with the phrase, if you read this letter, I am probably dead. We had known this person for many years and did a lot of dolphin trips with her in Hawaii. She was kind and seemed to have a calling to be with dolphins, she coordinated hundreds of trips in the big island. Some with us. She was always kind and lived in a rental place that was fixed up like she was from the 1960s where she was still celebrating the discovery of her being. Then we had another person who was sexually abused and she refused to speak to her sister during the last week of her life. Her sister had a hard time with this, as she loved her sibling and couldn’t understand why she was not able to be with her during the last week. She had to get feedback from her friends who spent time with her.

Two Lives, Two Very Different Endings

So what do you make of this? The first person was kind with what life had to offer and provided service to those that wanted to experience an intelligent life in the ocean. The other carried something with her from early childhood that had nothing to do with her sister and she died holding a grudge against those in her life.

You Choose How Your Life Is to Go

We believe that you choose how your life is to go. You are given a family and friends and you must just to forgive and not carry a grudge forever, that restricts your flow of energy, especially when certain topics come up. Learning how to forgive and realize that we are all on the same journey in a body is a key rule of the Star of Light. We are all connected and we all have feelings and need each other. Some of us get to choose exciting things to do and then offer a service to others based on what they like. This is all about sharing an experience, that is a connection with growth. The other person, never learned to forgive, even when the person that they should of forgiven had the same experience as she had and it had nothing to do with what caused abuse in the past.

Compassion and Understanding as Keys to Love

Compassion and understanding are key ingredients to achieving love in your life. Nothing is perfect and we often experience negative themes. Rising above it is one of the themes in your life and feeling joy is another. There really isn’t much else in life. Relationships need to be fostered and supported if you want them to grow and develop. I am having lunch with a friend that 46 years ago invited me over for dinner and they served us some soup and lasagne. Now I have seen him go through his life and he always went for the home run in business. After five decades he never hit it except on his first try and since then he has lost everything, but has keep his attitude positive.

Karma, Attitude, and Staying Unattached to the Outcome

He obviously had some karma that was playing out as I did the accounting for a dozen of his projects that all started out good until they went wrong. He constantly tried to make life better for all of his friends and keep in contact even when things went bad. He had joy, but is came is small doses as everything he tried didn’t work out. Yet he was very brilliant and a good friend. Life to him has meant to remain unattached to the outcome and let things come as it goes. You have to find your own answer and deal with the consequences of what you do.

Finding Peace of Mind in Your Calling

That is what life is all about. You experience good times but often not big goals. You have to find peace of mind in whatever is your calling. We think that if you keep it simple and share with others, you will have a better opportunity as things unfold. There is often no perfect time to do things, just do what you want and let the outcome define your life.

What Life Is All About in the End

We are at the age, where things don’t really matter (in our late 70s) except feeling good. And we find it comes when we are with people and sharing some mutual theme. We are heading to La Paz, Mexico soon and will meet some lifelong friends there to share what we did in our lives. It promises to be a eye opener in determining what life is all about as we are at the point where whatever we were supposed to do this time around has already occurred.
