Some of the songs that my buddy sang this weekend really resonate with me. His words say it all. After some of the words of each songs, I put some explanation as to what they meant to those that sung it together in harmony and with the lead singer. You can add you own interpretation as what these words do to you is individualized, it may be totally different to the author and other singers than it is to you. They are just beautiful words of life about God that don’t religion, even thought is was done in a community church.
Feel the Blessing of Simply Being Alive
Feel the blessing as it pours through you
Feel the blessing as there is nothing more to do
That is there is nothing else that you need do
I interpret this as being alive and just to be. It is a blessing that comes with life as well as its about the energy that flows through you. In essence, this is the philosophy of the Star of Light. Here is another one:
Created in God’s Light, Love and Glory
For I am as God created me
With God’s light, love and glory
And I am a result of life, I am forever free
This is about acceptance of what is and who you actually are. That is: God created you and that is the important thing, what you do with your life is up to you. You can learn many things and increase your energy, but who you are is what your energy is.
Life Is a Prayer and We Are One With God
It is this world on earth that I we have chosen to come
I must remember that I am forever one with the one
And let my heart beat be the rhythm in a prayer
We have chosen to incarnate and so it was up to us to come here. Why not enjoy it? Life is a prayer, we may want certain things but it helps to give thanks for what we have, I.e. life. Here is a phase I like that is repeated over and over:
I am thankful that I am and am one with God
Because God created you and you have God’s energy that isinside of you, you are one with God. This oneness is the spiritual equivalent or recognizing who you are.
A Community Singing in Gratitude
The words of these songs really got to me. 50 people where chanting these words in unison and I got goose bumps as it says it all. No religion, just a prayer and a song of gratitude in a community church. It was true spirituality and everyone who was in there were in their seventies and eighties. The musician was 73 and he was quoted as saying he was nearing the end of his third quarter. Interesting, he was very optimistic and filed with life, as there were no young children there.
A Wave in the Ocean of Consciousness
We were like a wave in the ocean
And a stream that goes out to sea
You are me and I am you
It seems that we have been together forever
And now we are awaken from our dreams
And realize that love shines in our world
And that it flows through you
Just praise the rivers for flowing
And the ocean of consciousness of who we are
For I am here for you to hold me
As I am in this wave of love
Your spirit can best be described like a wave in an ocean of consciousness. It exists to express itself and then it is merged back into the ocean as the wave breaks and we return to God which is consciousness. Sitting near the ocean and watching the waves come in is similar to watching our lives manifest and then disappear.
A Wave of Love: Celebrating Our Existence
We are her today today to celebrate
As we are a wave of love
In this wave of love
We are the song and the light as we roll along
This sums it all up. We must be present and celebrate our existence for it is an act of love and we can make this love into a song.
