Sunbeams breaking through tall forest trees at dawn, evoking peace and the natural world

One Love: The Other World

In the last blog, we talked about how Jesus appears in more than half of the near-death experiences that people describe. This seems to occur whether the person is Jewish, Muslim, Christian, or even a nonbeliever.

I find this very interesting because we all eventually face death. Knowing that the other side is described as being filled with love and support is actually something to look forward to, especially when compared to a world where we often fight one another and where the capitalist system can make it difficult to deal with the pressures of money, status, and ego. Our consciousness was never designed to absorb the problems of the entire world all at once.

The Weight of a World in Crisis

We cannot expect to feel good if we constantly watch the news. Much of it is negative, focusing on every crisis unfolding around the world, even in places we have never heard of. To attract viewers and readers, the media often magnifies events, making them seem as though they are happening right next door. Killings, earthquakes, wars, and disasters make it appear that everything is out of balance.

Where do you find love and peace in the headlines of a newspaper? If that were the focus, the newspaper probably would not stay in business for long. We seem to be drawn to conflict and tragedy. Much of humanity still operates from a survival mentality, where competition takes precedence over cooperation. As a result, qualities such as forgiveness, understanding, compassion, and cooperation are often overlooked in an ego-centered, Darwinian view of the world.

A Place Where Love Is the Norm

After watching hundreds of near-death experience videos, I cannot help but conclude that there is another place waiting for us, a place that many describe as being far more peaceful than life on Earth. It is a place where people support one another and where love and peace are the natural state of being.

We incarnate into a physical body to learn lessons that cannot be experienced in the spiritual world, whether we are guided there by Jesus or by other spiritual masters who devote themselves to helping souls grow.

So What Should We Do While We Are Here?

First and foremost, learn about the other world, where love is the norm and peace surrounds everything. These are the same principles that form the foundation of the Star of Light.

Second, create your own world. Reduce the amount of news you consume, turn off your cell phone from time to time, and choose to live a life based on your own values instead of constantly being influenced by marketing, advertising, and the desires of business. This is a major step because it gives you time to take a walk, read a book, watch a movie, spend time with friends, or simply enjoy nature. Walking through the woods allows you to experience God expressed through nature itself.

The Gift of Free Will

One of the greatest gifts we have is free will. We can choose how we live, both as souls and as individuals, and those choices make all the difference.

There is no need to spend every day absorbed in stories about violence, conflict, or who has accumulated the most wealth. Learning to govern your own mind is one of the greatest solutions to the challenges we face.

There will be times when it feels as though everything is going wrong, yet you can still smile and take life in stride, knowing that your guides, Jesus, or other spiritual masters are there to help you. Praying and asking for guidance is both natural and valuable in a society where nearly all of our senses are constantly overstimulated. Even our senses of taste and touch are affected by pollution and the chemicals that have become part of our food and environment.

We Can Do Better

We can do better. We can choose the food we eat, the thoughts we entertain, and the way we spend our time.

Being the richest person in the world is not the same as being the happiest. The themes you choose to live out during your life are what truly matter. Be kind to others. Look for the bright side of life. Sometimes it is almost amusing to watch the endless rat race of productivity and efficiency.

With the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, much of what we do today may eventually be replaced. If that happens, why not spend more time expressing the qualities of your soul, the qualities that bring love, peace, happiness, and good health to both yourself and those around you?
