People often ask: What is the meaning of life? I think about this a lot, especially as I get older and become more aware of how limited time feels. Is there a single truth we are meant to understand, with everything else simply being part of our experience on Earth?
My answer is yes, and it is simple. The meaning of life is to understand that consciousness is who you are. It is energy, the foundation of the Star of Light and everything else, including the systems we interact with daily, from appliances and computers to artificial intelligence.
What the Great Teachers Said
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is within you.” Buddha spoke of enlightenment as deep awareness. Lao Tzu taught that the Tao can be experienced but not fully defined. In the One Love perspective, life is about realizing that we are energy, connected at our core to God through what we describe as the “Star of Light” within.
Spiritual Awareness as the True Purpose
From this view, spiritual awareness is the purpose of life. It is not about rigid belief systems or institutions that may be tied to fear or control, but about direct inner knowing. It is about trusting your own experience and reconnecting with your inner truth.
Beyond External Achievement
Much of society teaches us to measure life through external achievement: education, career success, financial accumulation, and retirement security. While these are important aspects of living in a material world, they do not necessarily address the deeper, spiritual dimension of life.
You do not need advanced degrees to understand this, only awareness and reflection. The invitation is simple: explore what is true for you, and experience life from within as well as without.
