A lot of people push the concept of spiritual insight into opening your heart and letting it control your mind. But what is spiritual insight? Can it also be how you see the world and others? We think so. You might have compassion and understanding and know what is going on? But Spiritual Insight also applies to you seeing the inner aspect of other people. It enables you to sort of judge other people or at least categorize them. I use the word judge loosely as a spiritual person generally doesn’t judge, they use love and forgiveness and accept things as they are. Who can judge what is going on? You can determine if people are blocking their energy or doing something harmful to their life. Such as addiction to drugs or alcohol. And you can determine if people are hurting other people, but to pass judgement is a human concept. We all have incarnated to play out our themes in this lifetime and to see how everything is connected together.
Detaching From the Ego to Find God Within
Each of us are trying to get to the consciousness level of love and peace, these concepts are what Jesus and the Star of Light preach. It is often hard to see how we act due to our ego and what we create. As an individual, most of our life is developing our ego, which you can think of as the things that we create such and an identity and the way we act. In reality, Buddha had it right when he says that you have to detach from material things to find peace. I think its best to just let go and go within. This slows you down and you can look at yourself more clearly. You can see that God is inside of you. It is amazing that with so many people with a dominant ego, people don’t believe in God.
So we believe that spiritual insight has to first start with yourself and then you find out the universal principles that apply and use it to determine which category a person falls into. For example, if you believe in peace, you can see that many wars are being fought, often unjustly. The leaders may hold themselves out as peace loving and use it to justify their action, but killing people is really not spiritual. Many politicians are just in it for personal gain in one form or another.
Prayer and Grounding as Spiritual Practice
Now praying is a good way gain spiritual insight. Especially if you are praying for other others and not success and material things. Praying implies that you are trying to tap into a higher force that controls things, either God, Jesus or some other religious saint and it humbles yourself. It makes you spiritual. Connecting with the earth also makes you spiritual, because when you connect to the earth, you see the energy of its systems that affect your systems. Earth gives us life from the air that we breathe to the food that we eat. The old technique of hugging a tree, really does get you grounded. Try it!
I like going out the first thing in the morning and standing on the grass in my bare feet. It grounds me and I might say prayers, but always give gratitude to earth and that it affects me positively. It is natural wisdom from the heart and it will clear your thoughts and make you more spiritual. How we deal with pain and aches can be a very spiritual matter. We can look at the cause often from an abuse issue or just go to a doctor and get some medical for the symptom. You have to be somewhat spiritual to understand that the cause as it often is a childhood issue or someone’s actions are negatively affect you. Often before you are old enough to realize what is going on This is cellular memory. Dealing with these types of emotional issues is not what most doctors due.
Transcending the Physical Through Service
Spiritual insight is an intuitive process that transcends the physical. It is rooted in the fact that there is more to life than just the physical. There is a whole world of angels, advanced individuals and souls who have done what you are doing and now have decide to help others and live in love and peace. It would be great to try and reach the state of love and peace before we die and in the process help others achieve it the best way that they can. Service and helping others is really all that there is and its a very spiritual process that requires some intuition and motivation to make it happen.
