A peaceful home scene symbolizing love and reflection during winter

It Begins at Home

A Quiet Moment Before Christmas

I was sitting the other day in front of our fireplace, watching my beautiful blue-eyed wife work on her iPad. It was cold outside, just a week before Christmas. At this stage of life, our four children are on their own, and we are blessed with many grandchildren. We’ve completed our first careers and are now planning what to do in our golden years. I’ve written seven spiritual books and continue to blog regularly. We’ve talked about moving to Kauai or even Panama for lower costs, but for now, we’re simply relaxing and enjoying life.

The Blessing of Doing Nothing

It’s a blessing when you can sit and do nothing. There’s no need to shave (for guys), rush off to work, or plan a major client event. Christmas is approaching, the gifts have been sent to the grandkids, and we just received a Christmas card from dear friends who moved to Florida to begin a new chapter. After raising their children here through college, they are now empty nesters. On their card, they’re standing on a warm sandy beach, watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico.

Long Friendships and Letting Go

Twenty years ago, when their two children were born, my wife was their godmother, and we helped during those early years. It’s hard to remember those days now, the kids certainly don’t. We shared many meals together, and I did their taxes for decades as they built a successful business. While it’s sad to see them go, they’ve found their paradise, and we may never see them again. God bless them.

Time, Memory, and Meaning

The secret in life is to appreciate each and every moment, because it goes fast, very fast. After 35 years with my bride, I look back at all the places we’ve been. They are memories now. I think about developing the Star of Light and wonder whether I want to grow it, much like I once grew a large accounting practice filled with spiritually minded clients.

Choosing Purpose in Later Years

There are still many choices, even though it becomes harder to remain physical as time goes on. Am I doing this for money? Probably not, it no longer matters. Am I doing it to help the younger generation? Possibly, because it offers truth that religion and government often fail to provide. But what matters most is the idea itself and the environment of love and peace in the home, while the world outside struggles with endless problems.

Love, Peace, and the One Love Platform

Peace lives at home, where harmony exists and everything around you is familiar. We’ve taken care of our health and feel mentally younger than our years. Intellectually, we can continue—but do we want to trade paradise for the hope of helping others? That’s where love enters. Love is caring for others without expecting anything in return. From that place, we may build the One Love Platform.

An Invitation to Reflect Together

We write these blogs to share our ideas, and we deeply appreciate the feedback from thousands of followers. If you have thoughts on whether this is worth doing in a chaotic, truth-challenged world, let us know. It must compete for your time, and with so much AI, video, and noise everywhere, it deserves serious consideration.
