The Solfeggio Scale and Divine Resonance
One of the things that sets the Star of Light apart from traditional religions is our focus on energy frequency. We believe that energy frequencies influence your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. One powerful set of frequencies comes from the Solfeggio scale, which can be traced back to John the Baptist. He sang a hymn where the first six lines each followed consecutive notes of the Solfeggio scale, each higher than the last. John believed these frequencies could bring us closer to God—and we agree. In our philosophy, God resides inside you, so the notes are meant to make you feel good, not just sound pleasing.
Understanding the Frequencies
The Solfeggio frequencies became widely known in the 1970s, with claims that they could rebalance the body. Some examples include: 5 Hz – general cycles per second 285 Hz – rejuvenation 396 Hz – conquering fear and guilt 528 Hz – emotional release 639 Hz – harmonizing relationships 852 Hz – inner peace and mental balance
To put this in context, in music A is 440 Hz (or 432 Hz before it was standardized). Middle C on the piano is C4 = 261 Hz, D4 = 293 Hz, F4 = 349 Hz, G4 = 392 Hz, and the octave above middle C starts at 523 Hz. Schumann Resonances and Brain States
Personally, I enjoy Schumann wave frequencies, which naturally come from lightning and the Earth. Our brains have evolved around these frequencies: Delta (0–4 Hz) – very deep sleep Theta (~7.83 Hz) – a frequency I connect to my soul before sleep; used by great healers Alpha (~12 Hz) – awake, alert, and social Gamma (above 30 Hz) – high creativity, insight, and meditative states

Color, Light, and Phi Spirals
Frequencies also appear in the aura and color spectrum. According to Barbara Ann Brennan in Hands of Light:
- Blue – 250 Hz & 1250 Hz
- Green – 475 Hz
- Violet – 1000 Hz
The visible rainbow spectrum roughly maps to:
- Red – 450 Hz
- Orange – 500 Hz
- Yellow – 520 Hz
- Green – 575 Hz
- Blue – 600 Hz
- Indigo – 700 Hz
- Violet – 750 Hz
A friend of mine, a physicist, says these colors follow phi spirals, and as frequency increases, wavelength decreases.
