Understanding Your Energy Foundations
In our 64 Theme Love and Peace Scriptures, we begin by exploring seven different types of energy: your SOL Connection (a light from God near your belly button), Consciousness, Spirit, Soul, and your Mental, Emotional, and Physical components. Think of these first categories as the fuel your body needs to function at its best. When you understand them, and work with them, organization becomes a natural part of your day.
Connecting with God and Your SOL Connection
We start each morning at sunrise. Watching the sun come up, saying a blessing, and taking a moment to reflect on the day creates a powerful connection with God and your SOL Connection. In Kauai, the sunrise is especially beautiful, and it naturally resets the mitochondria in your body.
After that, I use my consciousness to “check in” with my body. How is my energy? Do I need water, food, vitamins, or medication? The answer depends on what I ate, how I slept, and what I did the night before. This simple check-in is what we call checking your spirit, being consciously aware of your body’s needs.
Preparing the Body
Sometimes the body needs meditation or breathing exercises to realign. For me, breakfast is two eggs and about 35 grams of protein to signal that it’s time for the day to begin. Then I move into warm-up exercises, often following the Japanese Radio Taiso routine on YouTube. Once the body is awake, it becomes easier to move into the mental, emotional, and physical dimensions of the day.
Organizing the Mind
Your mental energy is heavily influenced by your attitude. I like to write down a few positive thoughts, and often I’ll write a blog post to get the energy flowing. Positivity is a skill, and like any skill, it takes practice. I look around at the beauty of the earth, appreciate what I have, and feel grateful simply to be alive. With that mindset, the day starts on a high note.
Next, I write down everything I need to do, both personal and business tasks, and organize them by time. Once that list is clear, my mental state feels grounded and ready.
Understanding the Emotions
From there, I check in with my emotional energy. I write down what I’m feeling and try to understand the emotion behind the thought. It might be something left over from yesterday or preparation for a meeting later in the day. Emotions need to be addressed; if you ignore them, they linger and influence the rest of your energy.
Planning the Physical Day
Finally, I look at the physical dimension. What am I doing today? Am I playing tennis, going for a walk, or coordinating plans with others? Physical activities often require communication, so I send the necessary emails or make the needed phone calls.
Living the Day With Intention
This is how I organize my day using the framework from the Love and Peace Scriptures. It all begins with energy—your connection to God, your awareness of your body, and your alignment of mind, emotion, and action. Once these are set, the rest of the day unfolds naturally: replying to emails, reading the news, playing with the kids, or walking the dog.
Living this way brings structure, peace, and clarity, and it turns each day into a conscious expression of love and energy.
