A wide panoramic view of a large, luminous full moon reflecting over a calm ocean, symbolizing the connection between lunar cycles and the human psyche.

Spirit – The Moon

We just had a full moon near the end of December 2025. So what? Did you know that, at one time, most women menstruated during the full moon? We also recently had a lot of rain, and many roads in Marin, California were flooded. One newspaper showed a person kayaking over a flooded road. I wish him well, as a kayaker myself, but kayaking swollen waterways didn’t occur to me as I sat stuck in traffic on Route 101, trying to visit a friend. Apparently, a super-high tide combined with the rain flooded many roads, including the one I was on.

The Mystery of the Lunar Core

The moon is powerful. We celebrate the full moon with rituals; it honors life and gives it meaning. It is the closest heavenly body we see, yet we often don’t think about it enough. It deserves more reflection. The moon is about half as dense as Earth, and some people even claim it is hollow. When NASA tested its vibrational properties, it rang like a bell for an hour. When they repeated the test with a larger spacecraft, it rang for three hours. A solid piece of rock wouldn’t behave that way. Of course, scientists say the moon has a core just like Earth—but who really knows?

A Perfectly Designed Orb

What we do know is that it does not rotate in the way other celestial bodies do and pretty much stays in the same orientation, always facing us. We never see the dark side of the moon. That alone should get you thinking, as it behaves differently from other bodies in space. It seems so perfectly designed that it influences not only our psyche, but our daily activities when used as part of a calendar. Its cycle once aligned with the female cycle, until artificial light and big cities changed things. The moon is a romantic orb reflecting the sun, inspiring countless songs, especially at night. And of course, when we were children learning rhymes, the cow jumped over the moon.

Ancient Origins and Civilizations

So why write about the moon in One Love? Because some believe it was placed there intentionally, either by Nibiru, the planet said to have given us the Anunnaki and the building blocks of civilization, or by some advanced beings. It’s hard to believe that random chance placed it in exactly the right position for Mother Earth, especially if we consider ourselves descendants of other worlds. Stories tell of numerous civilizations before us, suggesting we are not the first people here. There was Lemuria, of which only mountaintops remain as Pacific Islands, and the Atlantean period as well.

Reflecting on Lunar Energy

Astrology has much to say about the moon and its cycles. We should take a moment to consider how the moon affects us as it fills the sky most nights and reflects on water as we dream. I remember watching Armstrong land on the moon. Now everyone seems to be sending rockets up there. The moon gives off a great deal of energy, and it affects many people. Taking a moment to reflect on how the moon is part of your life may be well worth it.
