God exists within you represented through inner energy and consciousness

God – You

God Within the Individual

One of the central themes in Star of Light’s One Love philosophy is the idea that God exists within you. The symbol representing this philosophy is a bird with a mandala inside it. This image is adapted from the Faravahar, a symbol used in ancient Persia and associated with one of the earliest known religions.

Origins of the Faravahar Symbol

In the original Faravahar, the central figure was Nabu (also associated with Zoroaster), the son of Marduk, the Egyptian sun god. Marduk later became known as Zeus, the god of gods in ancient Greece and the leader of the Olympians. In those early teachings, prayer was emphasized, along with good thoughts, emotions, and behavior, although the belief system also reflected the social limitations of its time, including the idea that women were lesser than men.

The SOL Symbol and Energy Levels

In the Star of Light (SOL) symbol, the bird’s seven wings and tail feathers represent the seven levels of energy that we explore. These levels form our SOL connection to the God of Energy, beginning near the belly button and extending through consciousness, spirit, soul, and our mental, emotional, and physical energies.

The Mandala and Consciousness

All of this is symbolized within the mandala. Instead of placing Nabu at the center, you are at the center. The mandala represents your personal connection to God. At its core is a star tetrahedron, symbolizing consciousness. Your level of consciousness influences every other aspect of your being:

  • Spirit (top symbol)
  • Soul (upper left symbol)
  • Mind (upper right symbol)
  • Heart or emotions (lower left symbol)
  • Behavior, represented by the peace symbol (lower right)

The Aura and Universal Energy

Understanding this symbol is like understanding your aura—the energetic field surrounding your body. The feathers and wings represent God’s Universal Energy Field, while how you use that energy is reflected in your own SOL mandala.

Individual Use of Energy

Everyone’s SOL mandala is different, depending on how much and how well they use energy in their lives. If you were able to use the full Universal Energy Field, you would function as God—you and God would be one and the same. Unfortunately, most people are not aware of this, and I often see that lack of awareness reflected in comments and conversations.

Defining Spirituality

The more you learn to use energy for your own well-being, the more spiritual you become. It’s a straightforward definition:
Spirituality is the use of energy for health, happiness, and well-being.

Becoming God-Conscious

I have never met anyone who wanted to be less than they could be. So why not aim to become God-conscious? That is the true goal of life. You move toward this goal through meditation, ritual, healing, and understanding how God, or energy, works. This is not a religious concept; it is a practical one. Everything we do is the result of energy. In that sense, we are all gods, though most people function as less-developed versions of themselves.

Energy, Food, and Daily Life

Some religious people are uncomfortable with my use of the word God in an energy-based philosophy. But energy is our God. You receive this energy through your actions, your emotions, your thoughts, and even what you eat. Certain high-vibrational foods, such as marine phytoplankton, spirulina, and organic whole vegetables—can support higher energy levels.

Personal Choice and Balance

I am no longer vegan, though I was one for 15 years. I now include meat for protein, and the combination gives me strong, sustainable energy without supplements. You can absolutely obtain everything you need from vegetables alone—it is simply a matter of personal choice. What matters is choosing foods and habits that raise your energy levels.

Energy as the Essence of God

Higher energy improves your life and can even extend it. And really, isn’t that what God is?
