So many people were interested in the first post that I decided to write a second blog on prayer. Simply put, prayer is communication with a higher source. Whether you call that source God, Jesus, the Tao, or Allah, it makes a real difference. Prayer is real energy.
According to Christie and Gary Blaze, prayer works best when you are sincere. It is a song to the soul that lets you blossom. When you pray with your heart, you are practicing love. With the right technique and a little effort, there is nothing you cannot accomplish.
The Biology of Belief
Prayer is just your thoughts focused on what you want. But first, you have to believe that your thoughts actually affect the physical world. In The Biology of Belief, Bruce Lipton—who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting—explains how your beliefs dictate your reality.
In the Star of Light, we put these beliefs into action by creating a vision. Your heart transmits this vision to God, setting into motion the actions needed to make it come true.
Power and Frequency
This isn’t just ordinary healing. It works because energy attracts energy of the same frequency. This gives you real Power—the ability to move things over time and distance. You are a spark of God, and God is within you. You don’t need a middleman to pray, though praying with others can be a beautiful way to share peace. Einstein said light and matter are the same thing; prayer is just pure light in motion.
The Ripple Effect
We are all connected through our core Star of Light. When you increase the energy in the universe through prayer, everyone feels it. If you pray for Mother Earth or a loved one, they feel that shift in vibration and amplitude. It is love being sent out, and that love always returns to you in special ways.
Mantras and Practice
In some traditions, prayer is as simple as saying “OM.” Gandhi used a mantra—repeating a word for God—to heal his problems. Traditional religions use prayer for both asking and praising.
A prayer is a language that evokes energy in your soul, mind, and body. It only takes a few minutes a day. You can even write your own. By focusing spiritual energy on a specific goal, you’ll be surprised at how quickly your quality of life improves. Try it. You might just get exactly what you ask for.
