From a Religious God to the God of Energy
One Love’s core premise is that the traditional concept of God, as presented in the Bible, Torah, and Koran, can be replaced with the God of Energy. The stories found in these religious texts were created thousands of years ago, yet there is one thing we all actively use and experience every single day: energy. (See the One Love Trilogy, available for free.)
Energy Is Already Part of Daily Life
Today, about 75% of people still worship gods described in ancient religious traditions. Yet throughout the day, when you wake up, eat, work, think, and interact, you are managing your energy. You can use that energy to pray to a religious god if you choose, but it raises an important question: why not focus directly on the energy itself? Life is already challenging, especially in a world filled with conflict, competing beliefs, and constant demands on our time and attention.
Spirituality as the Use of Energy
This is where spirituality comes in. We define spirituality as the use of energy for health, happiness, and well-being. If religious practices help someone reach that state, that is fine, it is still an energy experience. Love is a vibration expressed when you help others without expecting anything in return. Peace is the alignment of your body and mind with nature.
Living as the Body Was Designed
It takes courage to live the way your body was designed to live. Every cell in your body works in service to you. Why not extend that principle outward and serve others? This is a biological reality, not a religious idea. Your body already knows what it needs, whether that is better energy flow to your mitochondria, rest, healing, or a meaningful change in your life.
Caring for the Body and the Nervous System
One Love’s philosophy is fundamentally about the body. The better you take care of it, the longer and better it will take care of you. This is why we practice meditation to calm the nervous system, healing to return to our natural state, and rituals to give meaning and rhythm to life, such as solstice and equinox rituals. (See our free rituals book.)
Responsibility, Awareness, and Personal Power
We also place strong emphasis on mental awareness. Being conscious of what is happening in your life is essential. Traditional religions often rely on fear and control and are managed by large organizations with their own interests. In contrast, One Love places responsibility with the individual. You do the meditation. You do the healing. You perform the rituals. You are empowered to create the life you want—but it takes courage.
Courage in a Distracted World
That courage is what Love and Peace are truly about. They help you find balance in a chaotic world filled with distractions, including social media and endless demands for your attention. We encourage you to spend your energy on yourself, on your health, awareness, and growth.
Enlightenment as Awareness of Energy
Someone recently suggested replacing the word “God” with “enlightenment.” That works, as long as enlightenment is clearly understood. Enlightenment is awareness of consciousness, an understanding that there is something greater connecting us all. That something is energy. Aligning with it brings clarity and peace.
Choosing What Is Evident
As we get older, life often becomes simpler. We begin to see more clearly how we spend our time and energy, at work, on vacation, and with family and friends. No matter what you believe, it is always your energy at work. Have the courage to believe what is evident. Love and Peace begin there.
