The Dismantling of the Department of Education
Right now, Trump has just about dissolved the Department of Education. He is in the final throes of dismantling it. Kevin Carey, the VP for Education in America, says that what Trump is doing is wasteful, wrong, and illegal. What’s new? Trump does what he wants. He wants to break up the agency and return education to the states. He plans to move some programs to Health and Human Services and the State Department. Currently, the federal government funds one out of every ten dollars spent on children’s education.
Why the Department of Education Exists
The Department of Education was set up to ensure that every child has an expanded chance to grow on equal footing. Will this happen in the states, where some are wealthy and others are not? Of course not. The issue at hand is central control versus decentralization. A good example is the U.S. Constitution, which created a centralized administration while allowing states to make many of their own decisions.
Centralization vs. Decentralization
Another example is the Catholic Church. It has a centralized administration, and each church abides by its rules. Yes, you have many different churches, but they all follow some basic principles. Order can only be maintained by a central “octopus head.” When you break up control, you get diversified opinions. That’s great—except when it comes to basic education.
One Love and the Need for Central Knowledge
In the Star of Light, One Love, there is only energy. It is central to spirituality, and knowing basic rules helps a lot—rules that deal with energy. These should be promoted by a centralized organization, after which everyone can pursue their own path. This is the purpose of the thestaroflight.com website. The cells in your body work this way: every healthy cell works only for the benefit of the person. There is no question about that. It’s a good definition of love.
Love Before Peace
You need to have love before you can have peace. Knowing the rules makes a lot of sense. We are entering an era of science, which is at odds with the current administration. We are not trying to educate down, but educate up—giving everyone access to basic, foundational rules. There are moments for centralization and moments for decentralization, but when it comes to education, everyone should start on equal footing. That is why we have 64 themes in the Love and Peace Scriptures. Learn these, and you are on equal footing with every other spiritual person.
Energy Education Through Simple Principles
What we teach about the flow of energy and its uses is what education is all about, in our view. Anyone can learn it through 11:11, which stands for love, light, life, and living. Essentially, one’s intentions produce one’s thoughts, emotions, and actions. Read One Love, the first free book on the website.
Teaching the Keys to Success
When we teach living, we give you the keys to success. They guide you through business school principles, and we wrote a book on it called V-MAP. Your vision creates the world you want. We outline what it takes to be conscious and to embrace your spirit and soul. With education in America being left to the states, having key knowledge in one place makes a lot of sense.
