It was raining outside, and I sat down to reflect on what I have done over the last 33-plus years. From that reflection, I realized I have developed a logical social philosophy called One Love. One of its core principles is that energy vibration is what we should live for.
The Scale of Emotional Energy
I was first introduced to this idea through David Hawkins and his Institute for Spiritual Research. He created a single chart known as The Human Map of Consciousness, which measures emotional energy on a scale from 1 to 1000, with 1000 representing the highest level of consciousness. For many years, I kept this chart near my computer. When clients spoke about their emotional state, I would give them a free copy of the chart and explain how it worked.
Accessing Truth Through Kinesiology
So what have I learned over all these years, and where are we going with this? Hawkins developed his scale using applied kinesiology, which measures muscle strength in response to statements or concepts. For example, if someone says, “Your name is Sue,” and it is not true, the arm weakens. If it is true, the arm remains strong. Over time, I used a pendulum to access consciousness by observing its direction and spin while focusing on an object. The results were the same.
The Threshold of Love and Peace
This hierarchy of energy vibration is available to everyone. Today you can find countless versions of this chart online, each offering a different interpretation. Within One Love, we explored it in depth. Love measured at approximately 500, and peace at 600. What was most interesting is that life-supporting, or spiritual, values that are sustainable and promote love and peace begin around 200 on the scale.
The Reality of Modern Leadership
Most of our leaders today fall below 200, operating in the range of fear and control, which sits around 100. Anyone familiar with the chart can see how problems are handled. You can substitute higher emotional energy to improve outcomes, or lower energy if you want to make things worse. So here I am preaching love and peace to a world very far from love and peace. People listen, but little changes. Love and peace require cooperation, forgiveness, trust, acceptance, and reason. These qualities seem to be largely missing from the world we live in.
Power vs. Force
Religion, at its foundation, has often been about fear and control. We were told we were created to be slaves and to mine gold. People live for advantage, and justice is far from equal, unless you have money. Nations are simply groups of people, and when you sum their collective level of consciousness, it is often very low. Hawkins’ books are remarkable. He introduced the idea that power comes from high levels of consciousness, while force arises from low levels of consciousness.
A Foundation for Well-Being
What I have found is that most people do not seem to care and continue doing what they have always done. Yet they could be far more successful by operating at higher levels of consciousness, which foster trust, cooperation, and healthy relationships. In the end, David Hawkins left behind a legacy that became one of the foundational components of consciousness in One Love. We also incorporate the chakra system, which closely aligns with his model, as does Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
Moving Beyond Conflict
If we move beyond religion and begin believing in health and well-being, we have a real chance to improve our situation. But at the moment, the world is moving in the opposite direction. We fight wars, build ever-larger militaries, and sell weapons to people who want to kill. We have it backwards.
